Where is the studio located?
We’re based in the beautiful Blagdon Estate in Northumberland, easily accessible from Newcastle and the surrounding areas. Free parking is available right outside the studio.

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, all sessions are by appointment only. We recommend booking as early as possible - particularly for newborn shoots, which are best done within the first 2–3 weeks after birth.

What age is best for a sitter session?
Sitter sessions are perfect for babies who can sit up confidently without support - usually between 6 and 10 months.

What should we wear?
It really depends on what look you’re going for but soft neutrals and simple, classic pieces always photograph beautifully and trying to stick to a colour theme within the family also helps.

Can siblings or family members join in?
Absolutely! Whether it's a newborn shoot or a birthday celebration, we’re happy to include siblings and parents - just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Newborn Shoot FAQs

When should I book my newborn session?
Ideally, book during your pregnancy. We’ll pencil in your due date and confirm once your baby arrives.

What happens if my baby arrives early or late?
No problem at all - your session date is flexible and we’ll work with you to find a new slot if needed.

Do you provide props and outfits?
Yes, we have a carefully curated collection of wraps, outfits, blankets and accessories for newborns.

How long does a newborn session take?
Sessions typically last 2–3 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles.

First Birthday & Cake Smash FAQs

Do I need to bring the cake?
Nope! Cakes are included in each of our Cake Smash packages, however, you’re welcome to bring your own if you’d rather.

Can we do a bubble bath after the cake smash?
Yes! A bubble bath is included in our First Birthday Story package and is a lovely way to clean up and adds another set of adorable photos to your session

What themes or colours can we choose?
We’ll work together to design a setup that suits your vision.

After the Shoot

How long until we see our photos?
You’ll be invited back for a viewing appointment around 2 weeks after your shoot to see your gallery and choose your images and products.

Can we buy wall art or albums?
Yes - at your viewing, we’ll walk you through a range of heirloom-quality products including albums, framed prints and more.

Do you offer digital images?
All of our packages include a number of digital images, with options to purchase extras.
