Honestly, time really does fly and they grow up so fast, which is why I do what I do.

Your baby will never be this tiny again. I’m here to capture it - calmly, gently, and naturally - so you can hold onto these moments forever. I create relaxed, baby-led newborn sessions designed to capture your baby just as they are in those first precious days. No pressure, no rush - just beautiful, natural images that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
How Will My Newborn Session Work?
When you arrive at my studio in Blagdon, which is located on the border of Newcastle upon Tyne and Northumberland, you’ll be welcomed into my warm, cosy newborn studio, with hot drinks and biscuits always on hand to help you settle in. We’ll have a quick chat to go over any final details and your preferences, then we’ll gently get started photographing your baby. I use a mix of props and soft beanbag posing, always working in a calm, baby-led way with safety as my number one priority. Parent and sibling images are always included at no extra cost, and sessions can last up to three hours, giving us plenty of time for feeds, nappy changes and settling so everything feels relaxed and unhurried.

When Should I Book A Newborn Photoshoot?
The ideal time for a newborn photoshoot is when your baby is between 7–14 days old, while they’re still sleepy and naturally curled. For this reason, I recommend getting in touch during pregnancy, this guarantees your photoshoot will take place during this ideal timeframe. It also gives us the chance to talk through options, styling ideas and to see whether a newborn session at my Northumberland studio is the right fit for you.
Pricing Information
To secure your session, I just ask for a £79 booking fee. You’re welcome to book a newborn session on its own, or pair it with a maternity shoot to enjoy a reduced session fee. Find out more about my Bump to Baby package here.

When it comes to choosing your images and products, there’s no pressure at all. You don’t need to decide anything in advance - you’ll simply make your choices once you’ve seen your finished gallery. And even then, there’s no minimum spend or obligation to buy. You only purchase what you truly love.

My studio is on the Blagdon Estate, just a couple of minutes off both the A1 and the A19. I’m so lucky, I have a beautiful, countryside location where I am surrounded my farmland and woodland and often see deer and squirrels at my window, but don’t worry! I have a large free car park!

Ideally, book during your pregnancy. We’ll pencil in your due date and confirm once your baby arrives.

To be honest, babies rarely arrive on their due date! Your session date is flexible and we’ll work with you to find a new slot if needed. I always keep some days free for exactly this purpose.

Absolutely! Parent and/or sibling photos are included in the session at no extra cost. If you are bringing young children, I recommend bringing snacks, toys, or a tablet with something for them to watch and keep them entertained. I do have an outside courtyard they’re welcome to play in too.

Just the essentials for baby - nappies, milk, dummy (if you use one), and anything special you’d like included. I’ll provide everything else in the studio.

Yes, we have a carefully curated collection of wraps, outfits, blankets and accessories for newborns.

Sessions typically last 2–3 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles.

Safety is always my number one priority. Every pose is done gently and with baby’s comfort in mind.

Please don’t worry - this is something many parents feel anxious about, and it’s completely normal. Newborns are still adjusting to the world around them, and every baby is different.
I’ve seen it all before, and with over ten years’ experience working with children, I have lots of gentle techniques to help settle little ones. Sessions are completely baby-led, with plenty of time allowed for feeds, cuddles, changes and comfort breaks whenever they’re needed.
There’s no rushing and no pressure - we simply work at your baby’s pace. And rest assured, I’ve never yet had a session where we haven’t been able to capture beautiful images.

Then we capture a selection of photos when baby is awake! But it’s very rare a newborn can last 3 hours without falling asleep at some point!
